Hi! My name is Stian Thomassen, and you have stumbled upon my very simple art portfolio site. My day job is as a web developer, designer, and graphic designer. To the Americans: in Norway, we usually fill a lot of roles.
But my hobby, my heart, is in art and storytelling. My main story is about Rick and Mistel in the series *Vettirfolk*. *Vettirfolk* is a story that I started in 2015 and is ongoing. I am planning a bigger universe around these characters, and I hope to share more with you soon.

A disclaimer in this day and age: I don't use AI in any of my art. I think AI is very interesting, but the dataset it is trained on is unethical. As a person who has trouble with language and uses helpful tools to fix errors, it's a troubling situation because AI could have been trained ethically, but many AI companies decided against it. Apple's generative AI may be the only one that was trained legally and ethically. The second problem is that everything with an algorithm is called AI these days, and AI doesn't really exist yet. As a sci-fi fan, I would say that a real AI would be a truly thinking machine. What we have is VI (Virtual Intelligence) or SI (Simulated Intelligence).
